Ripon Society to Hold State Policy
Outreach Event with US Rep. Ginny Brown-Waite Luncheon meeting scheduled for Sat., May 19, Crystal River, FL
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Ripon Society will hold its second State Policy Outreach Event of 2007 on Saturday, May 19th, with a luncheon meeting featuring Congresswoman Ginny Brown-Waite in Crystal River, Florida.
Congresswoman Brown-Waite represents Crystal River and the surrounding 5th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. The goal of the Ripon Society’s State Policy Outreach Event series is to encourage and foster and public policy debate in cities and towns across the country. Last year, the Ripon Society held four State Policy Outreach Events.
The Ripon Society is a public policy organization that was founded in 1962 and takes its name from the town where the Republican Party was born in 1854 -- Ripon, Wisconsin. One of the main goals of the Ripon Society is to promote the ideas and principles that have made the GOP -- and America -- great. These ideas include keeping our nation secure, keeping taxes low and having a federal government that is smaller, smarter and more accountable to the people.
