the dinner,

Society
traditionally
honors
individuals
who have
pushed for
innovative

solutions on
a range of
issues with
Rough Riders
Awards as
well as
individuals
for
distinguished
careers with
Lifetime
Achievement
Awards.

Theodore
Roosevelt:

strives
valiantly;
who errs, …
but who does
actually
strive to do
the deeds;
who knows

enthusiasms,
the great
devotions;
who spends
himself in a
worthy
cause; who
at the best
knows in the
end the
triumph of
high
achievement,
and who at
the worst,
if he fails,
at least
fails while
daring
greatly, so
that his
places shall
never be
with those
cold and
timid souls
who neither
know victory
nor defeat.”

Dinner was
held June 19th
in
Washington,
DC in the
Great Hall
of the
Library of
Congress’
Jefferson
Building.
The Ripon
Society was
